I have deduced that you are a cigarette smoker. If that is not correct, please disregard the following info. I came across what I thought was some interesting information and with you being a smoker and me being a reader, I thought I would share. Although you may not recognize the name Pall Mall, (since you are either 27, 35 or 100) they have been making this cigarette since 1899. Pall Mall is the name of a very upscale street in the West End of London, best known for being the home to various gentlemen's clubs built in the 19th century and early 20th centuries, so the original makers used it in an attempt to cater to the upper class.
Pall Mall, however, was a lawn game that was mostly played in the 16th and 17th century, wherein a round box ball is struck with a mallet through a high arch of iron, which he that can do at the fewest blows, or at the number agreed upon, wins. The game was still known in the early 19th century, as is proved by its reference in many English dictionaries. In Samuel Johnson's 1828 dictionary his definition of "Pall mall" clearly describes a game with similarities to modern croquet. (Which I discovered reading one of my trashy bodice-ripper romance novels.)
The famous Pall Mall logo has large art nouveau lettering spelling out "Pall Mall" on the top front of the pack. On the face is a white coat of arms on the front and back of the pack, showing two regal lions pawing the sides and a knight's helmet on top, the inside of the shield reads "Per aspera ad Astra" or "Through hardships to the stars" (Which is also the motto of the RAF). There is a banner underneath the shield that holds another Latin phrase, "In hoc signo vinces" or "By this sign shall you conquer". The famous Pall Mall slogan, "Wherever Particular People Congregate", appears beneath the coat of arms. Aren't they full of themselves?
